Observations

Here are some awesome and insightful observations we had about Queen Anne!

While walking around, we noticed that there seemed to be a lot of younger single people walking around. There also were a lot of dogs being walked around the neighborhood. A lot of the housing seemed to be high-rise apartment buildings, which further led us to think that the neighborhood is full of younger single people. A lot of the businesses around Queen Anne seemed to be more local businesses rather than the typical chain restaurants. It seemed to be a pretty friendly, intimate community. What really had us in awe was when the barista knew the guy's coffee order without even asking, just knew his typical order. Another observation we made when walking around what was considered "lower Queen Anne" was the more 'Wine and Dine' vibe from the adults around, it seemed very "hipster" and there were also a lot of different small locally owned businesses. Everything seemed very high quality and clean especially in the supermarkets where all the produce seemed fresh and gourmet. The environment seemed really busy but slow, there were a lot of tourists due to the fact that we were a block away from the Space needle and all of its glory but people in that neighborhood took their time when walking across the street, they relaxed and sat down for a snack instead of taking it with them.
