Qubilo ("Qubilo", "we", "us", or "our") provides the Qubilo mobile application (the "App"), a learning, competition, and rewards game available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. By downloading, installing, or using Qubilo, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
Qubilo is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create a Qubilo account or use features that involve online sign-in, the leaderboard, or in-app notifications. See "Children’s Privacy" below for more detail.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the App, and information we receive from third-party services you choose to connect (such as Google Sign-In).
2.1 Information You Provide
• Profile information: a display name or nickname, and an avatar you select. We recommend not using your real name as your in-app nickname.
• Language preference: the app language you choose from Qubilo’s supported languages.
• Support requests: if you contact us for help (for example through the in-app "Contact Support" option), we receive your email address and the content of your message.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Usage and gameplay data: the categories you play, questions answered, scores, streaks, Daily Challenge participation, Stars earned, and similar in-app activity, collected via Firebase Analytics.
• Diagnostic data: crash reports, error logs, and device/performance information, collected via Firebase Crashlytics, used solely to find and fix bugs.
• Device and app information: app version, operating system, general device type, and locale settings, collected via Firebase and package/version-info tools.
• Installation identifier: a randomly generated installation ID used to recognize your device across sessions without collecting your name or contact details.
• Local app settings: preferences such as sound, notification toggles, and your last Daily Challenge date, stored only on your device.
2.3 Information From Sign-In
Qubilo lets you play as a guest (anonymous account) or sign in with Google to sync your progress across devices. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name, and email address, and (if available) your profile photo, in order to create and link your Qubilo account. We do not receive your Google password.
2.4 Push Notification Token
If you enable notifications, we store a device push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) on your account so we can send Daily Challenge reminders, leaderboard updates, and achievement notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings or your device’s system settings.
2.5 Leaderboard and Other Public Content
Your chosen nickname, avatar, and score are shown to other Qubilo users on Daily, Weekly, and All-Time leaderboards. Do not include personal information in your nickname or avatar choice, since this content is visible to other users of the App.
2.6 Advertising Data
Qubilo shows optional rewarded ads and occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect device and advertising identifiers, general location (derived from IP address), and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. See Section 6 ("Advertising") for more detail and links to Google’s own policies.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
• Operate the App and save your progress, Stars, levels, and achievements;
• Run the Daily Challenge and leaderboard, including verifying scores server-side to keep the leaderboard fair;
• Sync your progress across devices when you sign in with Google;
• Send you notifications you have opted into (challenge reminders, leaderboard updates, achievements);
• Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve app performance and stability;
• Understand how the App is used, at an aggregate level, so we can improve features and content;
• Serve and measure in-app advertising;
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the App;
• Detect and prevent cheating, fraud, or abuse of the leaderboard and rewards system; and
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
Qubilo is built on Google Firebase and related Google services. These providers process data on our behalf, subject to their own privacy and security commitments:
• Firebase Authentication – manages anonymous and Google sign-in accounts.
• Cloud Firestore – stores your profile, progress, and leaderboard data.
• Cloud Functions – runs server-side logic such as score submission, reward redemption, and account deletion.
• Firebase Analytics – collects app usage events described above.
• Firebase Crashlytics – collects crash and diagnostic data.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging – delivers push notifications.
• Firebase Remote Config – delivers app configuration and feature settings to your device.
• Google Sign-In – optional third-party sign-in.
• Google AdMob – serves in-app advertising.
You can review Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy for more information about how Google and Firebase process data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Advertising
Qubilo shows rewarded ads (optional, in exchange for in-app rewards) and interstitial ads (shown sparingly, at natural breaks between activities) through Google AdMob. We do not show ads during active gameplay screens. Depending on your age, region, and consent choices, ads shown to you may be personalized or non-personalized. Where required by law (for example under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation or U.S. state privacy laws), we and our ad partners will request your consent, or limit ad personalization, before showing personalized ads. You can also manage ad personalization through your device’s advertising settings (for example, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android or "Limit Ad Tracking"/App Tracking Transparency on iOS). For details on how Google uses data for advertising, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored on Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit. We restrict access to personal information to what is necessary to operate the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the App’s features (such as leaderboard history). If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with legal obligations).
8. Your Rights and Choices
• Access and update: you can view and edit your profile, nickname, avatar, and language preference from within the App.
• Delete your account: you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at parimal@cpabayx.com. We will process eligible deletion requests through our account-deletion process, which permanently removes your stored profile, progress, and leaderboard data.
• Notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off at any time in Settings or your device’s notification settings.
• Sign-out and unlink: you can sign out of your Google-linked account and continue playing as a guest.
• Ad personalization: you can limit ad personalization through your device’s system settings, as described in Section 5.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with its own privacy law (such as California), you may have additional rights, including the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, or object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in Section 12.
9. Children’s Privacy
Qubilo is designed to be enjoyable and appropriate for a wide age range, but it is not directed to, and account creation and online features are not intended for, children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address in Section 12 so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete the relevant data. Advertising shown in the App follows Google’s policies for child-directed and mixed-audience treatment, and we do not knowingly serve personalized ads to users we know to be under 13.
10. International Data Transfers
Qubilo is operated using Google/Firebase infrastructure, which may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where your information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards provided by our service providers (including Google’s standard contractual protections) to help ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App or on our website. Your continued use of Qubilo after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
