Prof. Yunfeng Chen is an enthusiastic seismologist specializing in passive seismology. His research focuses on imaging the subsurface structures at various depths from sedimentary basins to as deep as the mantle transition zone. He has a profound interest in understanding the seismic structures and tectonic evolution of continental lithospheres around the globe, particularly the Tibetan Plateau, western North America, and Australia. His research interests also include signal improvement of earthquake data, seismic imaging with array methods, and source analysis of induced earthquakes.
