About me
Hello! My name is Quan Vu, and I am a Lecturer in Statistical Data Science at the University of Sydney. Before joining USYD, I did my postdoc at the Australian National University. I received my PhD from the University of Wollongong.
My research focuses on developing statistical approaches for spatial and spatio-temporal data, with an emphasis on addressing complex environmental and ecological problems. I have been working with Gaussian processes, basis function models, and neural networks in the context of spatial/spatio-temporal regression and prediction, as well as emulation.Â
I welcome opportunities to collaborate with both statisticians and domain experts to translate innovative statistical tools into impactful real-world solutions.
