Quantum Materials Lab
We study unconventional ground states in quantum materials with competing magnetic interactions on various frustrated and low-dimensional lattices—triangular, Kagome, pyrochlore, and zigzag chains, among others. In our research, we use a range of techniques to synthesize these materials and explore their novel quantum properties by investigating their magnetic, thermodynamic, and magnetotransport properties. The other recent attraction of our research concerns thermoelectrics. We develop novel strategies for enhancing the heat-to-electricity conversion efficiency of superionic materials and defect-stabilized Heuslers.
