Best Poster Presentation Award (ISPSA 2022)
Hyeonsu Kim and Huijin Park won the best poster presentation award at the 20th International Symposium on the Physics of Semiconductors and Applications (ISPSA 2022). Congratulations!

Taejoon gave an oral presentation at the conference. He discussed his recent result on theory of spin decoherence in TMDC host materials.

Defects in solids for quantum technologies (06/12 /2022 - 06/17/2022, Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden)
We participated in the DSQT 2022 workshop held at Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden. It was an exciting 'off-line' meeting where we discussed solid-state quantum information science and technologies based on solid-state defect qubits.
The 1st EX(NL)O BRL workshop (06/23, 2021, Suwon, Korea)
We participated in the 1st AJOU BRL workshop held at Ajou University, Suwon, Korea on 06/23/2021. During the BRL program, we will explore various low-dimensional materials platforms to develop novel non-linear optical materials systems.

APS March Meeting 2020
Jaewook, Jooyong, Donggyu, Huijin and Hosung tried to participate in the APS March meeting 2020 from 03/02 to 03/06, which was supposed to be held at Colorado Convention Center, Denver, USA, but the meeting was cancelled due to the COVID-19. But, we celebrated it anyway at the downtown Denver :)

Nobel prize awarded to Prof. Goodenough
One of Hosung's Ph.D. committee members, Professor John. B. Goodenough was awarded the 2019 Nobel prize in chemistry for his pioneering work on Li-ion batteries. Congratulations! I am so proud of him and it was my honor to have him as my Ph.D. committee member in 2013! (In the photo, from left to right: John Goodenough, Hosung Seo, Jim Chelikowsky, Alex Demkov, and Zhen Yao.
