Travel
You will need a valid passport to enter the UK, and visa requirements may apply. Please check www.gov.uk for more information. EU citizens do not need a visa.
If you are travelling by plane then both Glasgow airport and Edinburgh airport are sensible destinations. From Edinburgh aiport there is a regular bus service to Glasgow, with departures every 30 minutes during daytime. The trip takes about an hour, and tickets can be purchased directly from the driver (approx £23 for a return ticket). See here for more information. The bus will arrive at Buchanan Bus Station in the centre of Glasgow.
Once you are in Glasgow there are several options how to get to your hotel. You can take a taxi (from Buchanan Bus Station approx £15, from Glasgow airport approx £25. Taxi stands are in front of the airport, and at the corner of the bus station). For bus connections check here. From the bus station you can also take the subway and then walk (from Buchanan Street to Hillhead, Single Ticket £1.75. Note that the subway has a limited service on Sundays).
Wifi Access
Eduroam is available across the campus. If you don't use eduroam you can log onto the UofG Visitor network. No password required.
