Mercoledì 17 il Prof. Fedele Lizzi, docente di Fisica Teorica all’Università di Napoli Federico II, ci accompagnerà con leggerezza in un affascinante viaggio attraverso il tempo, svelandoci come una delle nozioni più intuitive e familiari della nostra esperienza possa essere molto meno assoluta — e molto più relativa — di quanto il senso comune suggerisca.

L’evento di divulgazione scientifica è legato alla conferenza Quantum Geometry and Physics, Vercelli, 15-18 giugno, organizzata dai docenti del DISIT Paolo Aschieri e Pietro Grassi e dal ricercatore Thomas Weber. Questa è parte delle iniziative dell’azione COST CaLISTA, network europeo che mira a promuovere la ricerca all'avanguardia nel campo della matematica e della fisica. In particolare la giornata del 18 giugno sarà dedicata a celebrare i 50 anni di attività di ricerca del professore del DISIT Leonardo Castellani, direttore del Regge Center for algebra, geometry and theoretical physics.

Event Rationale:

On Wednesday, June 17, Prof. Fedele Lizzi, Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Naples Federico II, will take us on a fascinating journey through time, revealing how one of the most intuitive and familiar aspects of our experience may be far less absolute—and far more relative—than common sense would suggest.

This public outreach event -- in Italian language -- is associated with the conference Quantum Geometry and Physics (Vercelli, June 15–18), organized by DISIT faculty members Paolo Aschieri and Pietro Grassi, together with researcher Thomas Weber. The conference is part of the activities of the COST Action CaLISTA, a European network dedicated to fostering cutting-edge research in mathematics and physics.

In particular, June 18 will be devoted to celebrating the 50 years of research activity of Prof. Leonardo Castellani (DISIT), Director of the Regge Center for Algebra, Geometry and Theoretical Physics.
