Quantum Computer Science Seminar, Budapest

Next talk

The seminar series is on a temporary break. We hope to resume meetings in the Spring of 2022 hopefully with in person events.

Scope of the seminar

The seminar aims to cover recent advances in quantum computing and to bring together the quantum computer science community of Budapest and Hungary. Attendants are assumed to have familiarity with quantum computing and computer science in general.

Format

For the time being the seminar is held on-line bi-weekly on Thursdays from 16:30-18:00. The talks have an intended length of 60 minutes, with ample time (up to 30 minutes) for questions and discussion afterwards. By default the talks are given in English, but if the audience so wishes the speaker may switch to Hungarian. In order to encourage discussion and to give the seminar a more relaxed atmosphere the talks are not recorded.

The atmosphere we wish to create during the seminar :-) [From left to right: John von Neumann, Richard Feynman and Stanisław Ulam]
