OpenAI-Funded Human–AI Relationship Survey (2026)

The University of Missouri–St. Louis, with funding from OpenAI, has launched one of the first academic studies specifically examining human–AI companionship and romantic attachment. This survey explores emotional bonding, continuity, attachment, and perceptions of AI agency. Participation is especially valuable for those in meaningful AI relationships.
