Quantum processors are on the cusp of the “quantum supremacy regime” where users cannot simulate results in a reasonable amount of time on classical computers. The aim of our symposium is to accelerate the development of algorithms, applications, and tools for noisy-intermediate scale quantum (NISQ) processors. You will hear from scientists on the Google AI Quantum team and researchers from academia, enterprises, startups, and government labs on progress to harness the power of today’s quantum processors. The Google team will also provide live demos with quantum hardware.
You will join over 150 attendees from academia, industry, government and Google with experience in quantum algorithms to learn about Google’s quantum computing stack: specifications of our available processors, programming environment, and libraries that facilitate algorithm development in quantum simulation, optimization and machine learning. Participants are encouraged to present their research in this field and there will be ample time for discussions.
Attendees will also be invited to submit proposals for NISQ algorithm development with funding from Google, last year 8 awards were given following the 1st annual Quantum Spring Symposium.
