Welcome to Quanora: Calculator & Converter ("Quanora", "the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Android mobile application.

1. About Quanora

Quanora is a free all-in-one calculator and unit converter app for Android. It includes tools such as:

• Standard and Scientific Calculator

• GST / Tax Calculator

• Loan / EMI Calculator

• Currency Converter

• Unit Converters (length, weight, temperature, area, volume, and more)

• BMI, Age, Percentage, Tip, Discount, Date Difference, Fuel, Interest Calculators

• SIP, FD/RD, Electricity Bill, Gold Price, Profit & Loss, PF/EPF, HRA Calculators

The App does not require user registration or login. Most features work fully offline.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Collected Automatically

We use third-party services that automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

a) Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

• App usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)

• Device information (device model, OS version, language)

• General location (country/region level only — not precise GPS location)

• App performance data

This data is collected in an aggregated, anonymized form. We do not use it to identify individual users.

b) Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)

• Crash reports (app errors and exceptions)

• Device state at time of crash (device model, OS version, available memory)

• Stack traces for debugging purposes

This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.

c) Google AdMob (Google LLC)

We display advertisements in the App via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID)

• IP address

• Device identifiers

• Interaction with ads (views, clicks)

• Approximate location (for relevant ads)

Google uses this data to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

d) ExchangeRate-API

The Currency Converter feature fetches live exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. This requires an internet connection and sends a standard API request. No personal user data is sent to this service.

2.2 Information You Provide

Quanora does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. Any values you enter (numbers, calculations) are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

2.3 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Calculation history (via Room database)

• Favorite tools and recently used tools

• App settings and preferences (theme, font size, regional settings)

• Last used gold price (if entered by user)

• Cached currency exchange rates (refreshed daily)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

• App improvement: Understanding which features are used most to prioritize improvements

• Bug fixing: Using crash reports to identify and resolve technical issues

• Advertising: Displaying relevant advertisements to support free app development

• Analytics: Monitoring app performance and user experience (in aggregate, not individually)

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third parties.

We share data only with the following trusted third-party service providers who are bound by their own privacy policies:

• Google LLC — Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, AdMob

• ExchangeRate-API — Live currency exchange rates

• Google Play Billing — For processing the optional in-app purchase (Quanora Pro)

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. In-App Purchases

Quanora offers an optional one-time purchase called Quanora Pro. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store any payment or financial information. For details on Google Play's payment privacy practices, please refer to Google's privacy policy.

6. Advertising

The free version of Quanora displays banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on your interests.

Users who purchase Quanora Pro will have advertisements removed.

To opt out of personalized advertising:

• Open your Android device Settings

• Go to Google > Ads

• Enable Opt out of Ads Personalization

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent dialog when you first launch the app. You can manage your ad personalization consent at any time through the app settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Quanora is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at quanora.support@gmail.com and we will promptly delete such information.

The App does not contain content inappropriate for children and is rated for everyone.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information collected through third-party services. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

All locally stored data (history, preferences) remains on your device and is not accessible to us.

9. Data Retention

• Local data: Retained on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App

• Firebase Analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months per Google's standard policy

• Crashlytics data: Retained for 90 days per Google's standard policy

• AdMob data: Managed by Google per their data retention policies

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request information about data collected about you

• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (for locally stored data, simply clear app data or uninstall)

• Opt-out of personalized ads: Via Android device settings as described above

• Disable Analytics: You can disable Firebase Analytics data collection by contacting us

• Data Deletion: To request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app, email us at quanora.support@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

For EU/EEA users (GDPR), California users (CCPA), and users in other jurisdictions with data protection laws, you may exercise additional rights by contacting us at quanora.support@gmail.com.

11. Permissions Used by the App

Quanora requests the following Android permissions:

• INTERNET: Required for currency exchange rate updates and displaying advertisements

• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To check internet connectivity before fetching exchange rates

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restore scheduled notifications after device restart

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To send optional daily tip notifications (can be disabled in app settings)

• VIBRATE: For haptic feedback on calculator button presses

• BILLING: For processing the optional Quanora Pro in-app purchase

• AD_ID: Required by Google AdMob for serving advertisements

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive permissions.
