Quang D. Tran is currently Head of AI at AIOZ, a Singapore-based startup.

Quang actively invests in deeply comprehending, practicing cutting-edge AI & Blockchain technologies and flagship research. He has over 10 years of experience working on machine learning with an emphasis on deep learning, distributed computing. More recently, he continues to work on federated learning & privacy-preserving AI, as well as deep learning and its applications to computer vision and robotics (to name a few such as digital KYC systems, delivery mobile robots, product tagging, and billion-scale retrieval system).

In 2013, he obtained BSc. in Computer Science, Honors Program at University of Science (HCMUS), Vietnam.

From 2013-2014, he co-founded a "Mobile Vision startup" company in Vietnam. Within 1 year, he helped the startup company to build up a system for real-time fine-grained recognition of drinking products (e.g., wines, beers, milks, etc.). He played roles in designing backend architecture and embedding computer vision algorithms onto mobile devices.

From 2014-2015, he was a Research Assistant at the research lab of Professor Ngai-Man Cheung, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

From 2015-2017, he worked as a Data Scientist at Eastraits Pte Ltd and co-founded a startup company named THEQS Pte Ltd (AIOZ's predecessor) in Singapore. During 2 years, He built up various types of optimization solutions for business, especially, a system for automatic route optimization and delivery scheduling, which was later deployed in real-life and used daily by Singapore logistics companies.

In 2017, he built up the AI Department and led the development of various types of AI products and high-quality researches. The AIOZ company currently opens 2 offices in Vietnam - working on developing cutting-edge AI and blockchain solutions, together with marketing and design teams in Singapore and USA.
