Steps 5-8: Developing Countermeasures, Checking Effectiveness, Standardization, and Reflection.
Workshop 1 (Real Case Practice): Teams will apply the QC Story framework to a provided daily operational defect scenario, presenting their standardized solutions.
Focus: Rapid response to customer complaints and critical non-conformances (IATF/AS aligned).
AM Block: Containment & Root Cause
Introduction: The "What, Why, and When" of 8D. Understanding the sense of urgency.
Disciplines D0 to D3: Preparation, Forming the Team, Describing the Problem, and Interim Containment Actions (ICA).
Discipline D4: Root Cause Analysis (Escape vs. Occurrence Root Causes).
PM Block: Permanent Solutions & Prevention
Disciplines D5 to D8: Developing Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA), Implementation & Validation, Preventing Recurrence, and Team Recognition.
Workshop 2 (Real Case Practice): Teams will tackle a simulated high-severity customer RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) using the 8D reporting structure.
Focus: Solving complex, chronic, or unknown-cause process variations.
AM Block: Defining and Measuring the Issue
Introduction: The "What, Why, and When" of Six Sigma DMAIC.
Define Phase: Project Charters, Voice of the Customer (VOC), and SIPOC.
Measure Phase: Data Collection Plans, Process Mapping, and Baseline Metrics.
PM Block: Analyzing, Improving, and Controlling
Analyze Phase: Identifying the critical "X" factors (Root Causes) using data.
Improve & Control Phases: Solution selection, Pilot testing, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) basics.
Workshop 3 (Real Case Practice): DMAIC simulation focused on reducing chronic scrap/yield loss in a multi-step manufacturing process.
