This Battle Machines Radio Control Quad Bike is a full-function toy. It combines an RC vehicle with combat play. The lights and sound effects on these battle machines battle quads provide realism to its use. Kids will have fun battling each other while they drive, which promotes hand-eye coordination. The package includes two quad bikes with two controllers. It is recommended for kids 6 and up, but grownups can participate in the fun, as well.

Press the light-up button on this cute role-play Quad Bike to hear lots of fun phrases and realistic sound effects. It also features three fun sing-along songs and six jolly melodies and will also respond when driven over SmartPoint recognition sensor locations on Toot-Toot Driver play sets (each sold separately) triggering different phrases, music or fun sound effects. Quad Bike's voice and phrases encourage pretend play and enhance sensory development. It also encourages motor skill development and imaginative play.

Quad bike crashes constitute a growing public health problem at the individual and societal levels, due to their adverse debilitating health consequences, including disability, injury and death, in addition to the direct and indirect costs related to medical treatment and work-related losses from disability and absenteeism.3 4 As such, the prevention of quad bike injuries is important in order to preserve and maintain the health and well-being of the society and to reduce the unnecessary costs of these needless injuries.

Quad bikes have an inherent instability in their design. When used in desert and rugged terrain, they are characterised by high uncertainty in the driving surface. The unpaved terrain, narrow wheel base, high centre of gravity and large engine size makes them prone to rollover and collision, even at low speed.3 5 The magnitude of risk while riding a quad bike is exacerbated in the context of outdoor sport and the demographic group involved.6 Young adults, adolescents and children are known to carry an additional psychological impulse for risk taking, high speed and aggressive driving.5 7 Thus, the risk factors associated with quad bikes are more related to the environment where they are driven, the unique vehicular engineering and the driver characteristics. It is therefore obvious that the conventional risk factors associated with motor vehicle injuries cannot be blindly extrapolated to quad bike injuries.

Any safety intervention to control unintentional injuries begins with a robust risk assessment study, which requires an understanding of the primary risk factors associated and involved with the activity, leading to injuries.8 Therefore, a systematic and an objective review of the existing scientific literature is imperative to highlight and identify the possible risk factors associated with quad bike crashes and injuries. Unlike road traffic injuries and occupational injuries, however, there has been limited research on the risk factors of quad bike injuries. A comprehensive search for systematic reviews on quad bike injuries, by the authors, resulted in only one review, which have been carried out in 2018.9 However, the review focused only on helmet use among quad bike users and did not provide an exhaustive list of other risk factors.

In the absence of a standardised methodology for systematic review of the risk factors of quad bikes crashes and injuries, it was a challenge to develop a protocol to meet the objectives of the study and maintaining the quality of the review.10 This study protocol will attempt to develop a more rigorous method to review studies on quad bike crashes and injuries, using the predominant observational studies.

Our focus will be on increasing the sensitivity of the search by identifying studies on quad bike users of any region, demographic group, occupation group and gender. Thus, the search query will not include any specific population-related terms associated with region, gender, occupation group or age groups. This was tested with pre-searches that showed no improvement in the sensitivity of the search when including population-related keywords.

Crash risk was defined as any personal, vehicle engineering or environmental factors that could directly or indirectly influence the occurrence of quad bike crashes, resulting from driving quad bikes on paved roads or uneven terrain. Search terms used will include injury related causality or risk inclusive of all risk levels. It will also include terms for protective risk factors that have been reported in the published research to reduce the crash risk.

Hi all

I recently purchased some UM3561A 8-pin DIP ICs to design some circuits that could output some cool sound effects. I've decided to share the first circuit that I've put together. I hope you find it interesting. The circuit is very simple, and the video goes through the functionality, as well as the circuit schematic. If you have any questions, please let me know!

This circuit will allow for you to create up to four different sound effects:

1) Police siren

2) Machine gun

3) Ambulance siren

4) Fire truck siren

All you need are the following components:

1) A UM3561A IC, which costs about $3 on ebay

2) A 240k - 300k Ohm resistor

3) A 10k Ohm resistor

4) An NPN transistor (I used a 2N2222)

5) A 0.5W - 2W mini speaker (Can be taken out of a dollar store speaker set)

6) 4x push button switches

7) A 3v power supply. Can be a wall wart, but two AA batteries in series will do just fine.

8) Some wire

9) A bread board, or a solder-able proto board.

Total Cost: Under $15

One of my youtube viewers mentioned that a pull-up resistor should be used on the selector buttons that are connected to VCC, because if you press one selector pin that is connected to ground, and another that is connected to VCC at the same time, you cause a short circuit. I took not of this when putting the circuit together, but the data sheet requires a direct connection between the selector pin and VCC/GND. This is why I did not employ this. In all likelihood, a pull-up resistor would protect the circuit from shorting, and not effect the functionality. Please feel free to try it out.

Thanks again for watching!

Sincerely,

Pat

With its army design and track style side skirts covering the wheels this ride on looks every inch the battlefield veteran. It has fun sound effects to go with its looks as well as a play machine gun, but the best part is the front cannon that actually fires.

The answer to that question is a resounding "yes" when they are used during the hunting season, but in the end, it may actually depend on which deer you are trying to manage for and shoot. If young bucks and doe family groups is your game, than by all means do what is the most comfortable. However, if you value an older age structure of bucks and want to hunt the oldest bucks in the neighborhood, I suggest leaving the keys on the hook during the months of the hunting season. I have had clients run a dirt-bike track on their hunting lands during the Summer without a noticable negative impact for their hunting season, but during the hunting season every attempt to decrease the level of hunting pressure, and that includes an ATV. I have personally experienced that you can shoot your target buck(s) the majority of the time, but it will be an extremely rare circumstance that you will do so with regular and consistent ATV use during the hunting season.

not sure if this is the right forum, but.... my yz250f was kind of tinny sounding and i had to lean the idle air mix out more than usual. so, i repacked the exhaust, but i ran out of packing so there is some space in the oval can top and bottom, it is not packed tight. so i rode today, and i had to lean the idle air screw out more again. my question is, how much, and what exactly will a bike do if the exhaust needs packed, or is packed loosly like mine.....it seemed to run fine once i got things adjusted, but i was on a tight single track so other then second gear it was not opened up. it sounds fine, i am hoping i don't have to repack again???

i am wondering if it effects performance or just sound. I feel it only effects the sound of the bike, and a few bike mechanics in this area also feel the same, but on the internet it is said that if the exhaust is not packed right, or fresh, the 4 stroke will not perform as well. i am trying to find out the reasoning behind this, as most motocross bikes have a straight through pipe inside the can anyway. I don't see the logic in how bad packing can effect performance....

The sand-blasted environments have been shorn of anything not directly connected to combat - identical burned-out car shells offer the only hint that people may once have lived normal lives in this parched hellhole - but it still feels convincing thanks to some lovely ambient effects. Light and sound play a big part in the game, while the sweeping banks of smoke and dust add to the atmosphere without choking the gameplay. 006ab0faaa
