Monday In-Person Meeting Location: The meeting is held on the second floor of the Alano Club of the Northside at 5555 N. Lincoln Ave in Chicago (aconchicago.org) or (773-334- 9710). You will need to press the door bell to gain access to the club. You can bring drinks and snacks into the meeting. Unfortuantely, there is no elevator to bring you to the second floor. Parking is on the street.
Meeting Format: Ours is a one hour open meeting of AA attended by a mix of people. The meeting follows a script (see Meeting Script). We cover each of the 12 Steps of AA twice a year, while other times we discuss a topic of the speaker's choosing. After a brief lead is given by a group member, the meeting is open to comments for those who wish to share. You are free to express your beliefs and practices without judgement. There are no group prayers at our meeting. You will not be asked or expected to adopt any particular view of recovery to enjoy our fellowship.
