Today, MCPS schools are back in person. At Garrett Park, Grades K-3 are back in person. At Tilden, the signature programs which include Aspergers and Learners For Independence(LFI) are back at school. Tilden is going back at 9:00 and following the regular virtual learning schedule. However, students who ride the bus will be taking the old bus schedule which means that they will arrive at about 8:15. This will leave close to an hour for bus riders to wait before they start transitioning to classes. Car riders and walkers will dismiss at 2:40, but buses will not arrive until 3:00. At Garrett Park, it appears that KAH or some sort of morning program is still taking place. The Garrett Park schedule is changing, and students will now follow the old bus schedule. Car riders are supposed to arrive no earlier than 9:15. Students at school and at home in all grades will begin at 9:25 and end at 3:50.

Along with schools opening up comes changing traffic patterns. It has been evident this morning that a lot of people who don't typically drive in the neighborhood are heading through. Extra traffic could include school buses, students riding in cars to school, and teachers driving to school. All of these types of traffic probably are not used to being out in these conditions, and therefore everybody should drive cautiously. Make sure to refresh your memory on when you need to stop for school buses.
