Welcome to QSD Lab
Quantum semiconductor and devices laboratory is a part of Physics of electronics material research group at Department of Physics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. This laboratory focuses on research in the area of advanced semiconductor material for novel functional devices application. For the last 10 years, this research group has been actively studied the 2D system, carbon-based material, wide-bandgap semiconductor and oxide-based nanostructure. We developed our own deposition facilities that included Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), i.e. metal evaporator, PLD and sputtering systems; and also Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), i.e. Plasma Enhanced CVD (PECVD) and Metal Organic CVD (MOCVD) systems. We prepare our system or material considering the difference in geometry and shape, e.g. nanowire, nano-columnar, thin film, dot structure and other related advanced material structures. So far, we have confirmed and found some unique optical, electronic and magnetic properties of some advanced material structures that could be very potential for optoelectronics, spintronics, and nanoelectronics device applications. For practical purposes, understanding the advanced properties of this material are also useful for improving battery performance, solar cell efficiency, developing a new generation of thermoelectric devices and so on.
