QR Vyntrix ("QR Vyntrix", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a QR code and barcode utility for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
## Summary
QR Vyntrix does not require an account and does not collect, sell, or share your personal information with us. QR and barcode scanning, image-based recognition, QR-code generation, and history storage are performed on your device.
The App does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or account-management services.
## Information processed on your device
To provide its functions, the App may process the following information locally on your device:
- **Camera frames and selected images.** When you scan a QR code or barcode with the camera, camera frames are processed to recognize the code. If you choose **Import**, the App processes only the image you select through the system image picker to recognize a QR code or barcode. The App does not upload, retain, or share camera frames or selected images.
- **QR codes and barcode results.** A scanned code can contain text, a website address, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, email addresses, telephone numbers, SMS content, calendar-event details, geographic coordinates, product information, or other information chosen by the code creator. The App processes the content solely to show you the result and to provide the actions you choose, such as copy, share, or open a website link.
- **QR-code content you create.** When creating a QR code, the App processes the information you enter. Available creation types are text, website links, Wi-Fi configuration, contact details, email, SMS, calendar events, geographic locations, and social links. This content is used locally to generate the QR code.
- **History and preferences.** If the **Keep History** setting is enabled, the App stores your scanned and created code content, code type, and timestamp locally in the App's on-device storage. It also stores your local settings, such as scan vibration, sound, automatic clipboard copy, history preference, and language preference. The App retains at most 100 history items locally.
- **Clipboard and sharing.** The App writes a result or generated QR content to the clipboard only when you tap a copy action or enable the optional automatic-copy setting. The App does not read your clipboard. If you choose to share content, Android's share sheet sends the content to the app or service you select; that recipient handles the content under its own privacy policy.
## Permissions and why they are used
The App requests or uses the following device capabilities only to provide the corresponding feature:
- **Camera:** to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time.
- **Photo picker:** to let you choose a single image for QR-code or barcode recognition. QR Vyntrix does not request broad access to your photos or media library.
- **Flashlight:** to turn on the camera flash when you choose the flash control while scanning.
- **Vibration and sound:** to provide optional scan feedback when you enable these settings.
- **Internet and network state:** the App may use network connectivity when you choose to open an HTTP(S) website found in a scanned result. QR and barcode recognition itself works on-device and does not require an internet connection.
You can deny or revoke applicable permissions through Android settings. If you deny camera access, camera scanning will not be available.
## No collection or sharing by QR Vyntrix
QR Vyntrix does not transmit your camera frames, selected images, scan results, generated QR-code content, history, settings, or clipboard content to our servers. We do not sell personal information and do not use this information for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking.
The App uses on-device barcode-recognition components and local QR-code generation libraries. No code-recognition content is sent to us for these features.
## External websites and third-party apps
Some scanned results may be website links. The App opens a link only after you choose **Open browser**. The linked website is outside our control and may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Likewise, when you choose to share content, the receiving app or service is responsible for its own handling of that content. Please review the privacy policies of third-party websites and apps before using them.
## Retention and deletion
Data described in this policy is stored on your device, not on our servers.
You can delete individual history entries or clear all saved history from the App's History or Settings screens. You can also remove the App's local data by clearing the App's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the App. Clearing App data or uninstalling the App does not delete any content you have copied to the clipboard, shared with another app, or submitted to a website.
## Security
Because core data processing is local, your device's security controls help protect that information. You are responsible for securing your device and for reviewing a code's content before you copy, share, or open it.
## Children's privacy
QR Vyntrix is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not provide accounts or collect information on our servers, we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
## Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's data practices or features change. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. If a future version adds advertising, analytics, cloud storage, accounts, or any other data-sharing feature, this policy and the Google Play Data safety information will be updated before or when that version is released.
