Thank you for choosing QR Pro. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what information our app does and does not collect. Our core philosophy is to respect your privacy while providing a free, high-quality service supported by advertising.
QR Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal identity information (such as your name, email, or phone number) to our servers. We do not have access to your scans, your created codes, or your contact list.
To provide a seamless experience, QR Pro saves the following data directly on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:
Scan and Creation History: Saved locally so you can revisit past scans. You can clear this at any time.
Favorites: Stored only on your device for quick access.
App Settings: Preferences like theme and vibration are saved locally.
We only request permissions when they are absolutely necessary for a specific action:
Camera: To scan QR codes in real-time.
Contacts: Only used if you tap "Add Contact" after scanning a VCard. We do not read your existing contacts.
Photo Library: Used only when you choose to scan an existing image from your gallery.
To keep QR Pro free, we show advertisements using third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdMob).
While QR Pro itself does not collect your personal data, these third-party partners may automatically collect and use certain non-personal information from your device to serve relevant ads. This data may include:
Device Identifiers: Such as your Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA.
Device Information: Type of device, operating system, and language settings.
General Location: Derived from your IP address (e.g., city or country level).
Ad Interactions: Data about which ads you have seen or clicked on.
How to Opt-Out: You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID through your device settings:
Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset/Delete Advertising ID.
iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Our app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that an ad partner has inadvertently collected data from a child, we will take steps to address it with the provider.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
