It works, but here's what I want to do:The user can navigate between screens, one of them being a QR code scanner. While scanning, I need to debounce the scanner so it doesn't keep generating onRead events. The user could a) start a scan in the scan screen without reading a QR code and navigate manually to another screen.b) read a QR and automatically move to another screen for processing, then go back to scan again. For this reason I need to re-enable the scanner after some reasonable time.I can't just set reactivate to false because then the QR scanner is inactive until I restart the app.The problem is that when the user stays in Another screen, the QR scanner re-activates after the timeout and tries to scan when it is not desired. What I ideally would like to do is to deactivate the QR scanner while the user is not in the scan screen, and re-activate it with the above mentioned parameters whenever the user enters the scan screen. Is there any way to do this? Thanks!

I believe that was my mistake. Can you reload your app if you have it open, confirm that you see the Run QR scanner in editor mode (to ensure you are using the right component) then try again. You should see your camera on in preview mode, or blank. You should not see the QR icon

hello everyone, thanks for the reply. I found the problem why my scanner wont work, it is because I checked the BarcodeScanner1's Properties called UseExternalScanner. anyways thanks for all the help!

Hello,

I would really like to use the scanner function on the mobile app to populate rows of timesheet on googlesheets for common tasks. My initial thought was a unique barcode would run a specific resource query populating a line of the sheet, but I have no idea how to go about that, if its even possible? I can obviously fire a single resource query when a code is scanned, but not be selective about the scans

Thanks in advance

You can made each query conditional based off of the scanner component's properties. For example, I have a scanner that only triggers query1 if the barcode value evaluates to 'hello world.' Otherwise, nothing will trigger.

I just performed my yearly fresh install of my OS's everything went great with Android, IOS, MacOS, and Windows. When I got to my Linux machine running Ubuntu 22.04 there is no option to add a device by scanning. With all my other devices I used android mobile device to add all accounts using those deivces to scan the qr code provided in the mobile app. With Linux there is no option to scan the QR code which means i have to manually and annoyingly waste time trying to type the Secret out (granted i only do this once a year). I also don't see an option in the browser to scan the qrcode on my phone.

The QR code system was invented in 1994, at the Denso Wave automotive products company, in Japan.[5][6][7] The initial alternating-square design presented by the team of researchers, headed by Masahiro Hara, was influenced by the black counters and the white counters played on a Go board;[8] the pattern of position detection was found and determined by applying the least-used ratio (1:1:3:1:1) in black and white areas on printed matter, which cannot be misidentified by an optical scanner.[9][5] The functional purpose of the QR code system was to facilitate keeping track of the types and numbers of automobile parts, by replacing individually-scanned bar-code labels on each box of auto parts with a single label that contained the data of each label. The quadrangular configuration of the QR code system consolidated the data of the various bar-code labels with Kanji, Kana, and alphanumeric codes that were printed onto single label.[10][9][5]

QR codes have become common in consumer advertising. Typically, a smartphone is used as a QR code scanner, displaying the code and converting it to some useful form (such as a standard URL for a website, thereby obviating the need for a user to type it into a web browser).QR code has become a focus of advertising strategy, since it provides a way to access a brand's website more quickly than by manually entering a URL.[22][23] Beyond mere convenience to the consumer, the importance of this capability is that it increases the conversion rate: the chance that contact with the advertisement will convert to a sale. It coaxes interested prospects further down the conversion funnel with little delay or effort, bringing the viewer to the advertiser's website immediately, whereas a longer and more targeted sales pitch may lose the viewer's interest.

The format information records two things: the error correction level and the mask pattern used for the symbol. Masking is used to break up patterns in the data area that might confuse a scanner, such as large blank areas or misleading features that look like the locator marks. The mask patterns are defined on a grid that is repeated as necessary to cover the whole symbol. Modules corresponding to the dark areas of the mask are inverted. The format information is protected from errors with a BCH code, and two complete copies are included in each QR symbol.[3]

Hello all, im looking for a post, link or tutorial where i can use Elixir/Phoenix to access devices camera and activate qrcode scanning. I want to add a feature on my system where it can scan qr codes. I hope someone can help me

A QR code scanner or QR reader is an optical scanning device able to read QR codes. Open our QR code scanner by entering the URL -code-scanner.php in your favorite browser. Here you have two options: upload the image or allow the tool to access your webcam to scan the QR code from the picture.

Yes! For most iOS and Android users, a QR Code scanner is already built into the native camera app. Simply open the camera app and hold it over any Codes until a notification pops up. You don't even have to press any button to scan the Codes.

@Kevneill889: Which app are you using to access the QR scanner? Please can you check the link below, and follow the steps provided for scanning QR codes via Bixby Vision, Samsung Internet, Camera app and Gallery, and let me know if you have any success via one of these options?

Safe Mode temporarily disables third party apps, and helps to determine if any issues are stemming from an external source. If you're able to scan a QR code in Safe Mode without issue, then this suggests that a third party app is limiting you in some way, in which case I recommend removing any recently installed apps to address this.

I hope this small taste of augmented reality development has been helpful, and that you now have the basic QR code scanner in React Native running on your phone or simulator. Feel free to drop a comment if you have any questions or requests!

QR Codes also known as Quick Response Codes carry important information that can only be decoded by QR scanners. The Samsung Galaxy series, can read QR codes without installing any additional software. There a few easy ways to decode QR Codes, with Bixby Vision and Samsung Internet or Samsung Internet (Beta) and through the Camera app simply point your camera at the code and instantly be redirected to URLs links, Geo Co-ordinates, contact information or text messages.

Hello veterans,

I want to create a unit test for QR scanner, for an ionic Android app. Since it requires a camera I was thinking of using th ionic-native-mocks plugin ([ -native-mocks)].

However, from ionic-native/barcode-scanner I can only use the scan() method which automatically opens a camera on an Android emulator.

I meant it will not reinstall. I also tried it on a Galaxy S6. QR code scanner did not work same as S9+. I was able to uninstall and reinstall. Still does not work. So I do not have HubSpot Mobile at all.

User case . When user click on the scan code button . scanner get start and scan the QR code and play videos in the app . because all the qr code contains the video links . so i want to open it inside the app only .

It's possible to access the passthrough cameras on Quest 2 and use them for AR experiences.

As for scanning QR codes with the passthrough cameras, it's definitely worth looking into.

Also, consider integrating a document verification and scanning solution like -id-scanner.html into your AR experience. It offers advanced features like ID verification, biometric facial recognition, and document scanning that could be a great fit for your project.

The ASN Bank App (The Netherlands) and Digid App on my Fairphone 4 cannot scan QR-codes on e/OS 1.10. The standalone QR-scanner app does work. After recent update to e/OS 1.11 they both still do not work.

I have updated my Zenfone 8 to 1.11 but i have still this issue.

The stand-alone QR scanner does work, but when i make a payment with ideal, it will not scan the QR-code. The strange thing is that i can login with scanning the QR code on ABN-Amro, but on the payment it will not work.

As QR codes have become more common, more manufacturers have built QR scanners directly into the default camera app. Samsung's Galaxy S22 will read them, as will the Pixel 7 Pro, but other phones -- particularly older models -- may not. e24fc04721
