Data We Process

We care about your privacy. QR Code & Barcode Scanner is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not store the QR codes, barcodes, or scan history you generate on our servers. This data remains on your device unless you choose to share it.

Permissions We Use and Why

• Camera — Used to scan QR codes and barcodes with your device's camera.

• Contacts (Read/Write) — Used only if you choose to save a scanned contact (vCard) QR code to your address book or generate a QR code from an existing contact.

• Storage / Photos — Used to save generated QR/barcode images to your gallery, select an image for scanning, and share QR/barcode images.

• Vibration — Provides haptic feedback after a successful scan.

• Internet — Required to display ads, process in-app purchases, and verify network connectivity.

We do not request or use permissions for call logs, phone state, SMS, or location.

In-App Purchases

Purchases, including the Pro version and ad removal, are securely processed through Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed so Pro features can be unlocked on your device.

Advertising

This app is free and supported by advertising. Users who upgrade to the Pro version will no longer see ads.

To serve and measure advertisements, we use:

• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) — https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

• Meta Audience Network (Meta Platforms, Inc.), used through AdMob mediation — https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

These advertising partners may process device information, including advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), to provide personalized ads, measure ad performance, and improve advertising services. Once you upgrade to the Pro version, advertising is disabled.

Other Third-Party Services

We do not use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.

Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information during normal use of the app. The only exception involves the Contacts permission, which is used solely on your device when you choose to create or save contact QR codes. Contact information is never transmitted to us.

Non-Personal Information

Our advertising partners may process non-personal technical information, such as device model, operating system version, and advertising identifiers, to provide and improve advertising services.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will become effective upon publication. Your continued use of the app after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
