1.1 Camera Data
The App requires camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes.
Camera images and video are processed only as needed to recognize supported codes. The App does not save or upload camera images or video recordings as part of the scanning process.
1.2 Scanned and Generated Codes
QR codes and barcodes that you scan or create may be stored locally on your device to provide scan history and code-management features.
The content you enter when generating a code may include information you choose to provide, such as text or website links. This content remains on your device unless you choose to save, export, or share it through another app or service.
We do not upload scanned or generated code content to our servers.
1.3 Device and App Information
The App and its third-party services may process limited technical information, including:
Device model, manufacturer, and operating-system version
App version and language settings
Device or app identifiers
General app configuration and performance information
Network and connection information
This information may be used to maintain compatibility, measure performance, prevent abuse, and support App functionality.

We use Firebase Analytics to understand general App usage and improve features. Depending on the App configuration, Firebase Analytics may process information such as:

1.5 Crash and Diagnostic Data
We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical problems. Crashlytics may process information such as:

App version and app state at the time of an error

This information is used to troubleshoot errors and improve App stability.
1.6 Advertising Data
The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Information transmitted to these services is processed on their systems and is not limited to local on-device processing.

7. Local Storage and Data Retention
Scanned and generated codes stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App, subject to your device settings.
Analytics, crash-reporting, and advertising information is retained by Google according to the applicable service policies, configured retention settings, and legal requirements.
Because the exact retention period may vary by service, configuration, data type, and user choice, we do not state a single retention period for all third-party data.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
Information transmitted to Firebase and AdMob is protected using the security measures provided by those services. However, no electronic transmission, storage method, or third-party system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
QR Scanner & Generate is not intended for users under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information from a minor has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it where possible.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
Request information about applicable data-processing practices
Withdraw or update advertising consent
Object to or limit certain processing
Request deletion of eligible information
Manage App permissions through your device settings
Delete locally stored scan history and generated codes
Reset or delete your Android Advertising ID through device settings
Uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data
Some analytics or diagnostic information may not be directly associated with your identity. As a result, we may not always be able to identify a particular record as belonging to you.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in App functionality, third-party services, information-handling practices, or applicable requirements.
Updates will be made available through the App, the Google Play listing, or an updated version of this Privacy Policy. Material changes may also be communicated through an in-app notice where appropriate.
