Call for Papers!

QP4SE workshop allows researchers and practitioners to (i) present and discuss solutions, challenges, and trends in the field of quantum programming for software engineering and (ii) provide best practices for the development of new solutions or improve the existing ones. 

The main focus topics of the workshop are:

• Quantum optimization for software engineering

• Quantum machine learning for software engineering

• Quantum artificial intelligence for software engineering

• Quantum solutions to computational problems in software engineering

• Quantum software and algorithms 

• Quantum programming for detection quality issues in software engineering

• Quantum programming languages 

• Quantum empirical evaluations

• Industrial applications on quantum programming for software engineering

Evaluation Criteria and Submission

We are looking for three different types of submissions: 

1. Regular papers (up to 6 pages), will report original research on how quantum programming can support software engineering tasks;

2. Vision papers (up to 4 pages), will report novel ideas about the application of quantum programming for software engineering;

3. Presentation abstracts (up to 2 pages), will report experiences from industry or previously accepted papers that are relevant to the workshop.

Regular and vision papers will be part of the ESEC/FSE proceedings under the copyright of the ACM digital library, while presentation abstracts will not be included in the proceedings.

All papers should be submitted through EasyChair in PDF format, using the “ACM Primary Article Template” as specified in the official ESEC/FSE site’s call for papers. All papers will be subjected to a thorough peer-review process, with a focus on originality, quality, soundness, and relevance. The workshop will use a double-blind review process, with three members of the program committee reviewing each submitted paper. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at QP4SE 2022 in order for the paper to be published in the proceedings.

• Papers notification: August 15th, 2022 August 31st, 2022;

• Papers camera-ready: September 9th, 2022.
