Quantum networks are the basis for the development of a quantum internet – an infrastructure that enables secure quantum communication, distributed quantum computing, and quantum-enhanced sensing. Building large-scale quantum devices and harnessing their quantum nature however requires developing efficient strategies to probe and model complex quantum systems. This workshop brings together researchers to explore fundamental aspects of quantum network design and complex many-body quantum systems.
Topics include entanglement generation and distribution, quantum error correction, modular components, such as quantum repeaters and hybrid network architectures, but also tensor networks and many body pathways to large scale quantum systems
Discussions will emphasize interdisciplinary approaches, fostering a deeper understanding of the principles underlying quantum connectivity and quantum complexity. By addressing key open questions, this workshop aims at basic research and next-generation quantum internet networks.
