INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the Quantum Matter Theory Group at APCTP!
The Quantum Matter Theory Group theoretically investigates emergent quantum phenomena in strongly correlated electrons within quantum materials, including van der Waals materials, transition-metal oxides, and strongly correlated metals. We develop effective models for interacting electrons in these materials and analyze their physical properties, such as magnetism and superconductivity, using both analytical and numerical methods.

OPENINGS
Postdoctoral Researchers
We're recruiting postdoctoral researchers to conduct theoretical studies in correlated quantum matter. The research topic focuses on the following subjects:
Magnon-quantum skyrmion interactions in frustrated magnets
Topological magnon band structures and Landau levels
Quantum tunneling phenomena of quantum skyrmions
Qubits based on quantum skyrmions
Strong candidates are expected to possess analytic or numerical computation techniques for constructing and solving effective models for these systems. Preferred analytic and numerical methods include:
Spin-wave theory
Atomistic-spin simulations or Micromagnetic simulations
Topological band theory
If you are interested in the researcher position, please send your CV and a brief research statement (preferably under 150 words; in either English or Korean) to kyoungmin.kim@apctp.org.
Graduate Students
We also welcome graduate students who wish to participate in the mentioned research projects, particularly focusing on the interplay between magnonics and skyrmionics. Candidates from the physics department will be preferred if they have completed graduate courses in:
Quantum mechanics
Solid-state physics
Quantum field theory or Computational physics
If you want to join the research projects, please send a brief self-introduction, including your research interests (preferably under 150 words, in either English or Korean), or your CV to kyoungmin.kim@apctp.org.
