For potential team members:

We always have open positions and look for talents. However, before contacting me, please consider whether our styles align. I encourage you to understand my research areas, read the publications, speak with team members, and review my commitments and expectations below. If you believe there is a potential match, feel free to reach out—I’d be more than happy to follow up.

My commitments

My ultimate goal is to contribute to training the next generation of independent researchers. I commit to one-on-one meetings focused on projects and personal growth, providing detailed guidance, including implementation or technical details, especially when you are new to a research topic (with less guidance over time as you become more independent and lead projects). I also support collaborations, research training, and grant writing. Everyone has a distinct work style; our aim is to get the job done, not to conform to one specific style.

My expectations

I expect you to be highly motivated and passionate about your research. This does NOT mean working day and night—that is neither sustainable nor good for your health. It means being self-motivated to explore beyond 'assigned tasks.' For instance, if an AI model achieves 90% accuracy, don’t just report this number. Think about what it means. Can you verify this performance by reproducing it and manually examining the outputs? Does it overfit a certain dataset? How does it compare to existing approaches? There are many underlying interesting problems to explore.

I also expect you to maintain research integrity, respect different work styles, and contribute to the team.
