I am looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students and Postdocs to work with me in the Pediatric Cardiac MRI lab at UT Southwestern on cardiopulmonary MRI processing! Contact me if you are interested in working on cool projects on cardiopulmonary imaging.

About me:

I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I am also holding secondary appointments in the Department of Radiology, and Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC). I obtained my Ph.D. in the Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences (AMCS) program, which is an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in the Graduate College of the University of Iowa in May 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Mathews Jacob.

My research interests include:

  • Theoretical machine learning: Studying the interface between machine leaning and applied mathematics with specific application to computational imaging. Understanding the mathematical aspects of deep learning.

  • Unsupervised learning for (medical) image processing: Using generative models for solving inverse problems arising in computational imaging, especially in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) processing.

  • Level set method with application in (medical) image processing: Using both implicit and explicit level set methods for solving problems arising in computational imaging and computer vision.
