In this special issue, we have 8 papers (including one paper from Prof. Zhonglin Wang) to review the latest progress on flexible energy devices. 

Journal of semiconductors (English version) was started in 2009, selected by "中国卓越期刊行动计划"(China Excellence Journal Action Plan) in 2019, and indexed by EI in 2020. It was previously known as the Chinese Journal of Semiconductors (1980-2008).

Dr Zhang was one co-guest editor.

[3] Our conference paper "A Design of Horizontal Perovskite Nanowire LED for Better Light Extraction" was selected as a finalist for the Best Paper Award in IEEE EDTM 2021 (Chengdu, China).

This paper was later invited to be submitted to the IEEE Journal of the Electron Device Society. Dr Zhang is the first author and co-corresponding author.

[2] We published one review paper on AFM, discussed the light out-coupling strategies for different LEDs, and suggested a few design guidelines for improving the light extraction efficiency of perovskite LEDs.

[1] Introduction of our work (Nature Communications, 10, 727 (2019)) on chembeango.com (in Chinese)

In this work, we used the nanophotonic substrate to increase the light extraction efficiency of MAPbBr3 LED from ~10% to 73%, and increase the EQE from ~8% to 17.5%. The EQE was twice the record based on this material. 

This paper is selected as ESI Highly Cited Paper.
