Ph.D. Positions (New)
We are looking for two Ph.D. students to join our group starting in Spring 2026.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
Strong interest in solid mechanics, with experience in numerical and/or experimental methods
Familiarity with finite element software (e.g., ABAQUS, COMSOL) and programming in MATLAB or Fortran
Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn new skills

Additional Notes:
A minimum GPA of 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale) is expected for all applicants.
Applicants who do not hold a Master’s degree are required to submit GRE scores.
Applicants with a Master’s degree should have a strong publication record demonstrating prior research experience and potential for doctoral-level work.

Motivated Master’s students interested in research opportunities in solid mechanics, computational modeling, or materials simulation are welcome to get in touch. Research credit, thesis supervision, remote research, or summer projects can be arranged based on mutual interest and availability. Undergraduate Research Opportunities
We welcome enthusiastic undergraduate students who are interested in gaining research experience in solid mechanics, computational modeling, or related areas. Opportunities may include hands-on simulation work, data analysis, or assisting with ongoing projects. Research-for-credit, summer research, or remote participation can be discussed based on your availability and interest.
