Dr. Qianwen (Vivian) Guo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research focuses on transportation systems optimization, with particular emphasis on public transit, shared mobility, transportation resilience, and transportation economics. She is a member of the Transportation Research Board Standing Committee on Transit Management (AP011). Dr. Guo has published more than twenty peer-reviewed journal articles as first or corresponding author across a broad range of transportation topics in leading journals, including Journal of Air Transport Management and Transportation Research Parts A, B, and C. Her work on leveraging shared autonomous vehicles to enhance disaster evacuations was recognized with the 2025 Best Paper Award by the Journal of Infrastructure Preservation and Resilience. In addition, her study titled “Control for Transit Services in Disaster Evacuations Using a Hawkes-Based Jump-Diffusion Process” was the Winner of the 2025 INRIX METROLAB Challenge. Dr. Guo also services as the PI, leading multiple federally and state-funded research projects sponsored by National Science Foundation, Florida Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Transportation, and U.S. Department of Agriculture, with cumulative research funding exceeding $2 million.
