Accommodations Information
Participants must book their own accommodations.
We have blocked off rooms at St. Paul's University College Residences on the University of Waterloo Campus. These residences are about 5 minutes on foot to the Mathematics building. The following booking options will be available at St. Paul's:
Double Dorm room with Ensuite accommodations – Our double dorm rooms with ensuites are located in St. Paul’s Green Wing and feature twin size bunk bed and private ensuite washroom for guests. The cost is $55 CAD +HST per person per night for double occupancy and $70 CAD +HST per night for single occupancy.
Super single room with Ensuite accommodations (limited availability) – Our super single rooms with ensuites are located in St. Paul’s new Green Wing and feature a double bed and private ensuite washroom for guests. The cost is $75 CAD +HST per person per night.
Linens and towels are included for all guests stay. All rooms have their own personal temperature control for heat and air conditioning, include Wi-Fi (and eduroam) access. If guests are requiring meals they would also have access to Watson’s Eatery, and if they are interested in meal options there is an option to select on the booking form.

We aim to reimburse university residence accommodations costs for junior participants and other participants without other sources of funding.
For participants who prefer to stay in a hotel, we have secured a special rate of $179 CAD per night (plus taxes/fees) at the Delta Hotel in Waterloo (110 Erb St W, Waterloo, ON N2L 0C6 ). The hotel is about 15-20 minutes on foot from campus, and is located in uptown Waterloo, near several restaurants and stores. Due to limited availability of funds, we do not anticipate being able to reimburse any hotel accommodations booked by participants.
Travel Information

The University of Waterloo is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, which by automobile lies about 1 hour and 30 minutes West of Toronto. Pearson International Airport in Toronto is the nearest international airport with connections across the world. There are other regional airports which may have some connecting flights to the USA or other parts of Canada: Waterloo Region International Airport, London International Airport, and Hamilton International Airport.
Getting to Waterloo from Toronto: There are several ways one can travel from Toronto (downtown or airport) to Waterloo: Go Transit, Shuttle Bus, car rental, Taxi, Uber/Lyft, etc.
Taking a Taxi is the simplest (but most expensive) option. A one-way fare from the airport would be about $100-$120 CAD.
If you use Go Transit, there are regularly scheduled buses leaving from Pearson Airport Terminal 1 taking you to The University of Waterloo Station (one bus transfer is required for most routes). From the University of Waterloo station, the on campus accommodations are a short walk away. The Delta hotel is about 20 minutes on foot from the University of Waterloo Station. You can also take the ION light rail train from the University of Waterloo Station to the Waterloo Public Square Station (2 stops away), which is about 5 minutes on foot from the Delta hotel.
