One unexpected highlight of the internship was meeting other Canadian students completing placements at IIT Roorkee. Spending time with people who were also adjusting to life in India created an instant sense of connection.

We shared stories about cultural surprises, exchanged travel ideas, and explored nearby places together. It reminded me how quickly friendships can form when everyone is navigating unfamiliar experiences together. Having a supportive community made the challenges of living abroad feel much easier.
