Heliox-300mK Oxford instruments
Our lab features a Heliox-300mK system capable of reaching ultra-low temperatures of 300 mK and sustaining a 12 T magnetic field. Designed for investigating correlated phenomena in 2D materials, it offers a highly controlled, low-noise environment. Its robust and stable design ensures reliable performance for long-duration experiments, making it an essential tool for exploring nanoscale material properties.
Various customs designed probes
Our lab has custom-designed probes for the He3 system, allowing flexible sample orientations relative to the magnetic field. These probes enable precise configuration for various experimental setups. Additionally, they support high-frequency measurements, expanding research capabilities.
Liq. Nitrogen measurement system
Our liquid nitrogen system operates in a wide temperature range between 80 K to 300 K, providing a stable platform for low-temperature electrical transport and 1/f noise measurements. It enables precise characterization of our various devices.
Atomic force microscopy (AFM - A.P.E.R. Research, Italy)
Our customized Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) provides advanced imaging and surface characterization at the nanoscale. In addition to standard functions, it features a tilt and rotation-capable stage for enhanced flexibility. With exceptional precision, it enables the study of topography, mechanical properties, and electrical characteristics down to atomic resolution.
Semi Clean Room
Our semi-clean room is specifically designed for the preparation and observation of 2D material stacks, ensuring a controlled environment for advanced research. It features essential facilities such as a fume hood, nitrogen line, humidity controller, and high-efficiency air filters to maintain optimal fabrication conditions. The state-of-the-art fume hood provides a safe workspace for handling hazardous chemicals, efficiently removing harmful fumes and vapors. Its advanced ventilation system safeguards researchers' health while maintaining proper airflow and comfort. Together, these facilities create a contamination-free environment crucial for precise 2D material fabrication and research.
vdW transfer System
Our lab is equipped with various van der Waals transfer System, including one automated system from HQ Graphene. The Olympus microscope, integrated with a Van der Waals transfer system, enables high-resolution imaging and precise material characterization. These systems ensure seamless, contamination-free transfers of delicate 2D materials onto various substrates, preserving their structural integrity. Moreover, we have made provision for cutting 2D falkes in the same system, making it ideal for twistronics device fabrication.
