The workshop will be held in the conference room (salle de conférence) of Jean Alexandre Dieudonné Laboratory (LJAD) at the campus Valrose of the Côte d'Azur University.
The best way to get to the campus from the city center is to take the tram line 1 (the red line) till the stop Valrose Université. The same tram line takes you to the Nice-Ville train station.
Nice was founded as a Greek colony in 4th century BC. In occasion of a battle victory against Ligures, it was originally named Níkaia in honor of the Greek goddess of victory, Nike.
Nice was a popular winter resort among European nobility, scientists and artists. This includes British and Russian royal families, notable artists such as Mark Chagall and Henri Matisse, philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who finished "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" in the city, Russian write Anton Chekov or the discoverer of hydrogen Henry Cavendish.
The beautiful castle at the Campus was build by a Russian railroad owner Pavel Georgevitch Von Derwies who spent the last years of his live in that castle. He would organise lavish parties, which included among other concerts of his own private symphonic orchestra.
