Postdoctoral Research Scientist Positions at the Peking University
We are now seeking candidates for 3 to 4 experimental Postdoctoral Research Scientist positions at the “IQO-Lab” (Integrated Quantum Optics Lab) of the Peking University, working specifically on large-scale quantum information science and technology with integrated optics.
The successful candidates will be closely working with the IQP-Lab led by Professor Qihuang Gong and Assistant Professor Jianwei Wang, at the Institute of Modern Optics and the State Key Laboratory for Mesoscopic Physics, in the School of Physics at the Peking University. You will also work with our collaborators at Technical University of Denmark, University of Bristol, MIT, Microsoft and many others.
Integrated quantum photonics is an emerging technology that is able to on-chip generate, guide, route, control and detect quantum states of light on demand. This is an exciting frontier of science that brings together many interdisciplinary areas such as quantum physics, information science and semiconductor manufacture, and it is promising for the realization of powerful quantum technologies. The projects are to develop large-scale integrated quantum photonic circuits, including new materials, devices and physics, and apply these technologies for applications in quantum communication, machine-learning, simulation and computing, and for the understanding of fundamental quantum science.
Specific desired expertise includes, but is not limited to, experimental experience in the fields of quantum photonics, integrated photonics, quantum information, atomic physics, nano-optics and fabrication. Particularly individuals with high self-motivation, creativity, and interdisciplinary background are encouraged to apply. By the start of the position, a completed PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
The successful candidates will work in an active and dynamical group in an excellent environment in the Physics School of Peking University, a world-leading institution in many physics fields.
