Introduction
In sea ecology, there is an interesting question about the determinant factors of interactions of preys and predators with the dynamics of the environment. In the interdisciplinary study, we developed a heap-based discrete event simulation, studied the mutually inhibited behavior-model simulation and its application in sea ecology, and developed a GUI-based controller for the behavior-model simulation with the real time behavior analysis data in dynamic charts.
This research aims to study behavioral choice models which account for more of the complexities of animal behavior, including changes in behavioral state, and formation of social dominance hierarchies.
From this page you can download an executable code or run an JApplet in your browser.
The GUI and a heap-based implementation of discrete event simulation were written by Qiong Cheng (homepage). The discrete event simulation is based on DEVSJAVA.
