2023

The 2023 QC Archives Fair was held at the Hauberg Estate in Rock Island, IL with 25 organizations in attendance! 

Minda Powers-Douglas presented a program called "Translating Tombstones." She shared her knowledge about the different symbols on gravestones and their meaning. The program was held at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM. 

2022 

The 2022 QC Archives Fair was held at the Le Claire House in Davenport, IA with over 16 organizations! 

Karen Anderson presented the brilliant history of the Le Claire family and the historic structure that bears their name at 1:30 PM and repeated at 3:00 PM

2021 

The 2021 QC Archives Fair was held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Butterworth Center in Moline, IL with over 24 organizations! 

Jeff Adamson entertained the audience with a program called, "Twisted Tales of the Quad Cities - Creepy but True." He highlighted these stories with historic photographs. 

2020

Due to the unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the QC Archives Fair was canceled. 

2019

The 2019 QC Archives Fair was held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the German American Heritage Center in Davenport, IA with over 25 organizations represented!

2018 

The 2018 QC Archives Fair was an archives "crawl" with three host locations across the Quad Cities. The hosts were the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center at the Davenport Public Library, St. Ambrose University Library and Archives, and the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center, Augustana College. 15 cultural and historical institutions participated!

11:30 AM Quad Cities Swedish Immigrant Collections by Lisa Huntsha 

Delve in to some of the interesting Swedish immigrant collections at the Swenson Center. Discover the stories behind love letters of an Augustana Seminary student, building records of a Swedish immigrant carpenter in Moline, and the work of a Swedish immigrant publishing house located right here at Augustana.

11:45 AM Tour of the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center 

12:00 PM Genealogy at the Swenson Center by Jill Seaholm

Follow a Swedish immigrant through the Swenson Center's records. 

1:00 PM History and Tour of the St. Ambrose University Archives and Collections by Onnica Marquez 

1:45 PM Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House Presentation by Gretchen Small

2:30 PM Tour and Overview of the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center by Kathryn Kuntz 

3:00 PM Bix and Davenport by Gerri Bowers

"Fascinating stories about jazz immortal Bix Beiderbecke's early years in Davenport, along with little-known, memorable highlights about dozens of historical sites you can visit today. (Gerri Bowers co-authored ""Bix: The Davenport Album"" and is considered one of the world's foremost authorities on Bix.)"
