Class overview
Quantum computing is an emerging computing paradigm lying at the intersection of computer science, physics, and mathematics. This course aims to provide a broad overview of quantum computing, including its mathematical formalism, algorithms, hardware, and programming approaches.
The class is developed with computer scientists in mind, includes programming exercises, and does not assume that the student has a formal background in mathematics or physics.
The course is organized into four modules:
Introduction to Quantum Computing - Math, Tech, and Fundamentals
QPU Instruction & Gates
QPU Primitives
QPU Applications
The course consists of in-person lectures, video lectures, Canvas quizzes, and a final project of the duration of three weeks.
You will have access to the Canvas page
