Algirdas Kraunaitis (AL) started working as a library assistant at QAHE in 2016 and, in 2022, became a full-time librarian. He holds BMus and MMus degrees in Music Composition, and in 2022 received an MSc (PGdip) in Library and Information Science. Over the years Algirdas wore many different librarian hats: student advise and support, systems and liaison librarian. Nowadays, his efforts are focused on teaching students information literacy and developing learning materials. In his spare time, he still enjoys practising music and will appreciate suggestions for his to-be-read (TBR) pile.

If your classes take place at the QAHE campuses in Birmingham, Manchester or London (Rosebery Avenue), you are welcome to borrow textbooks from campus libraries and use their facilities. You can also use other university libraries via the SCONUL scheme.

Amelia joined QA Higher Education in February 2026. She has an MA in Library and Information Studies, and a BA and MA in English Literature. She has worked in specialist, public and academic libraries, and is especially interested in Information Literacy. She specialises in Neurodivergent Information Literacy, and has given many talks and published in the Journal of Information Literacy on the topic. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and will always appreciate a book recommendation!

Dan has been working with QA since 2019. Dan has an interest in computing technologies and contributes to learning resources that include the library portal. He has a BA in philosophy and English and an MA in digital cultures. He has worked in academic and public libraries in both Ireland and the UK. He enjoys reading Irish poetry, writing music, and working on digital projects.

Ihar manages the QAHE library services. His professional interests include teaching info literacy, academic and non-academic publishing, social knowledge construction (e.g. Wikipedia editing). He is currently working on a talk on technology and info literacy; and co-authoring a collection of articles about Belarusian Library in London.

Silvia joined QA in December 2023. Having worked for both public libraries (as a Children's Librarian) and museum libraries across Europe, she is now dedicated to helping students in higher education. She has a BA in Cultural Studies and Modern Languages (Spanish, Italian and English) and a MA in Management of Culture and the Arts. In her spare time, she visits art galleries, cycles around London and cooks Italian meals.

Chidinma obtained her MSc (Information and Library Studies) from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and a PhD from Babcock University, Nigeria. She also has a background in Law (LL.B) and is good with legal information. She enjoys reading and listening to inspirational books and audio/visuals, and is passionate about research. She is a published author of many reviewed academic papers, chapters in books and has authored a book on information search.
