I chose architecture because I’ve always been drawn to how spaces affect people — how a well-designed building can inspire, comfort, or even bring people together. My interest in architecture really started in high school, where I began paying more attention to the built environment around me. I realized that buildings aren’t just structures — they shape how we live and interact with the world.
That curiosity grew into something deeper, and I knew I wanted to be part of a profession that combines creativity with real-world impact. I went on to pursue my BSc in Architectural Studies at Kuala Lumpur University Science & Technology, and throughout my studies and experiences, I became even more passionate about sustainable and thoughtful design.
As I pursued my passion in the professional world, I have learnt the extent to which our world needs to be designed with care for the end user and concern for the process. I love the variety – every day and every project is different. I get to deal with a range of different people: clients, contractors, consultants, etc. I also really enjoy the fact that at the same time as using your creative side, the practical aspects also have to come in. Striving to be the best is not the ultimate goal, but am continuously looking forward to bring something to the table and keeping the ball rolling. As I am always seeking opportunities that could broaden my perspective and bring me out of my comfort zone which can be a value-adding to own’s career enhancement- stimulating my career and personal growth.
