- Internal photoemission (IPE) spectroscopy system consisting of Xenon arc lamp (Newport, 6258 / 6259), lamp power supply (Newport, 69911), power cable (Newport, 70050), lamp housing (Newport, 66902), Ozone eater (Newport, 66087), Ozone exhauster (Newport, 66090), optical filter (Newport, 51352 for 830 nm / 51320 for 630 nm / 51272 for 400 nm / 51250 for 309 nm), monochromator (Oriel, Cornerstone 260 1/4), grating (Newport, 74160 for 600 lines/mm in 600~2500 nm / 74167 for 2400 lines/mm in 180~700 nm), optical fiber (Newport, 77634 in 400~1700 nm / 76840 in 500~250 nm),  slit controller (Newport, 74001), optical lens (Newport, SPX011 plano-convex lens for conversion of dispersed light into parallel light / Newport, SBX016 bi-convex lens for focusing of parallel light), lens holder, InGaAs photodiode (Hamamatsu Photonics, G9230-01 in 950~1550 nm) Si photodiode (Hamamatsu Photonics, S2281-04 in 200~1180 nm), low-noise current pre-amplifier (SR570), probe station, and data acquisition card (National Instruments).
- Current-voltage (I–V) measurement system (2-terminal & 3-terminal) with SMU (Keithley, 2636A).
- Capacitance-voltage (C–V) measurement system with precision LCR meter (Agilent, E4980A).
- Cryogenic measurement system with helium compressor (Trillium, 125 / Lakeshore, CRX-4K).
- Photocurrent mapping system with scanning near-field optical microscopy (WITec alpha300).
[2] Electrical/Optoelectrical/Photonic Measurement: I–V measurement, C–V measurement, Cryogenic measurement, Temperature-dependent electrical characterization, IPE spectroscopy, Photocurrent mapping, Photoresponse/switching characterization, Photoluminescence spectroscopy (WITec alpha300 RA+), Continuous-wave laser (WITec focus innovations, Thorlabs MCLS1, Photonetics), Pulsed laser (home-built femtosecond laser).
[3] Material Processing: CMOS-compatible material (Si, SiO2), Wide bandgap semiconductor (SiC), III-V semiconductor (GaAs), High-k dielectric insulator (Al2O3, HfO2), Nanowire and nanotube-like one-dimensional materials (SW/DWCNTs), Graphene and graphene-like two-dimensional materials (Graphene, h-BN, TMDs, BP, InSe, MXenes, etc.), Topological quantum materials (topological insulator: Bi2Se3, Mott insulator: TaS2, etc.).
[4] Wafer Prep: Chemical mechanical polishing (Logitech, ORBIS), RCA Cleaning, native oxide etching, Ohmic contact formation, Backside contact, etc.
[5] Van der Waals integration: Dry transfer, Semi-dry transfer, Wet transfer. Exfoliation, Heterostructure integration.
[6] Etching: Reactive ion etching (TTL, Labstar / TTL, FABstar / Oxford Instruments, Plasmalab 80Plus / Oxford Instruments, PlasmaPro 100 Estrelas), Wet etching (selective etching, diluted etching, dipping, etc).
[7] Deposition/Growth: E-beam evaporation (MASA, IM-9912 / Temescal, FC-2000 / Angstrom Engineering, 09340), Atomic layer deposition (Beneq, TFS-500 / Lucida D100), Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (Oxford Instruments, Plasmalab 80Plus), Sputtering (Oxford Instruments, Plasmalab 400 / Hitachi, E-1045).
[8] Patterning: E-beam lithography (Vistec, EPBG5000pES / NBL, NB3), Photolithography (Suss Microtec, MA/BA6-8).
[9] Annealing: Rapid thermal annealing (Foton-6), Rapid thermal processing (Jipelec), Furnace PEO (PEO-601/ATV).
[10] Structure Analysis: Scanning confocal Raman spectroscopy (WITec alpha300 RA+), Scanning electron microscopy (Hitachi High-Technologies, S-4800 / FEI, Helios Nanolab600), Spectroscopic ellipsometer (Semilab, SE-2000), Ellipsometer (Elipso Technology, Elli-SE-UaM8), Atomic force microscopy (Bruker, Dimension Icon).
[11] Bonding: Wire bonder (TPT, HB02), Wire bonder (Delvotec, 53XX), Wire bonder (FS bondtec, 5330).
[12] Dicing: Dicing saw (Disco, DAD3220 / Aaron, AR06DM).

[14] Calculation: Energy band alignments across the interface, Fermi-level pinning effect depending on interface-trap charge density and dipole charge density, Parallel conduction model for an inhomogeneous junction, Areal fraction of low-barrier patches, Time-evolving probability density of electron wave packets in graphene under superlattice potential, Ballistic carrier transport of injected hot electrons into interface or subsurface.
