Graduate Student and Undergraduate Intern Positions
We are looking for highly motivated students in various fields!
Recruitment courses: master's, doctoral, and integrated master's-doctoral programs & undergraduate intern for 3rd~4th year students.
Field of major: not restricted.
Prior contact: optional but strongly recommended.
Requirements: passion for and responsibility in research activities.
Preferences: open-mindedness to collaboration and excellent communication skills.
Offers: (1) Full scholarships for tuition and research incentives for living expenses, including dormitory occupancy rights.
(2) Support for attending academic activities, including domestic and international conferences.
(3) All equipment, materials, and supplies, including usage fees for infrastructure such as G-NICS, ANGELS, GAIA, etc.
(4) Flexible working hours and autonomous commutes when no experiments or meetings are scheduled.
(5) Regular holidays for every third Friday.
(6) Essential vacation of one week each for summer and winter vacations.
(7) Additional vacation per paper published for first or co-first authors (1 and 2 weeks for JCR top 30% and 15% journals, respectively).

[1] Superconducting Quantum Devices and Quantum Phase Transitions
Job description: (1) Fabrication and characterization of Josephson junctions/diodes and transmon/gatemon qubits, (2) Interface engineering of van der Waals heterostructures and device process optimization, and (3) Low-temperature transport, microwave characterization of qubit coherence, and qubit simulation and analysis
Preferences: (1) Hands-on experience in mechanical exfoliation, dry transfer of 2D materials, and cleanroom fabrication of van der Waals stacked devices and (2) Experience in low-temperature transport of superconducting/topological quantum devices, microwave characterization of qubit coherence, or qubit simulation and analysis.
[2] Intelligent Optoelectronics and Artificial Intelligence Sensors
Job description: (1) Fabrication and process optimization of spectrally tunable broadband photodetectors based on 2D materials, (2) Optoelectronic characterization, process analysis, and device performance optimization, (3) Active pixel infrared and spectral sensor array integration, (4) Evaluation of sensor reliability in harsh and extreme environments, and (5) AI-based optoelectronic sensing platform integration
Preferences: (1) Hands-on experience in optoelectronic device fabrication and characterization based on 2D materials, (2) active pixel sensor array integration and development, and (3) any other condensed matter physics experiments.

Requirements: Holders of a doctoral degree or candidates expected to receive one, with a track record of publishing at least one paper in a journal ranked within the top 15% according to JCR standards.
Offers: (1) Salary and research incentives negotiable based on technical expertise and publication record, including opportunity to reside in Young Scientist Building (YSB).
(2) Support for attending academic activities, including domestic and international conferences.
(3) All equipment, materials, and supplies, including usage fees for infrastructure such as G-NICS, ANGELS, GAIA, etc.
