Jason Rude has been shooting professional fireworks shows for J&M Displays since 2002. His podcasting adventure actually started in radio, as a sports broadcaster for local high school sports. His first podcast was a collaboration with his wife called Don't Talk to Me Rudely, in which he and his wife chronicled the trials and tribulations of being parents. His next project was called The History Bros, a collaboration with educators from across the country. This spawned a company known as HistoryBridge which is owned by Jason and his business partner, Brian Geldmacher. Together, they both consult others looking to create podcasts. Additionally, they produce content for Pyro Talk, as well as the YouTube series "On the Road". In his full time gig, Jason is a middle school social studies teacher. He also works as a driver for the local ambulance service and an EMR/FF1 for the local rescue squad. Jason is also the lead broadcaster for coverage of local high school sports on KCZE 95.1. As an educator, he is a master fellow in the Ford's Theater National Oratory Fellowship and has presented at the both the Iowa and the National Council for the Social Studies on 9/11 education.
Jason has been shooting professional fireworks shows since 2002, when he was abruptly called to fill in on a short handed crew. Jason attended his first PGI convention in 2014. You can often find Jason at events like PGI, Sky Wars, and Cobra Con. In 2025 Jason could be heard at Cobra Con 25, lending his voice at the evening event announcer.
