EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

YOUCAT | The catechisms provide us with a simple and effective way to nurture us in concrete knowledge and understanding of the faith. I believe it is time catechisms are brought back into our families and churches and, in particular, our youth ministries. 

VIA CRUSIS | Ang atong mga Parish Youth uban ang Knights of the Altar mipahigayon sa Via Crucis karong Ikalimang Biernes sa Kwaresma. 

KAMUSTAHAY | A Kamustahay with a theme from the movie Encanto was done earlier thru the Education Committee's initiative to closely monitor the status of the members and to strengthen ties and relationships already established. The fun-filled and insightful learnings were participated by the council members with the presence of Rev. Fr. Generous P. Gonesto, OSA and Rev. Fr. Jhebie Jugarap, OSA

SINULOG SA PAROKYA | Malampusong nakaambit og halad pasalamat ang pipila ka batan on sa Parish Youth Coordinating Council niadtong Pebrero 11, 2023 sa gipahigayon nga Sinulog sa Parokya 2023. Namahimong malampuson ug mabungahon ang maong kasaulogan tungod sa kadasig sa kabatan onan sa parokya ug inubanan usab sa mga mibulig ug suportang pinansyal alang sa katumanan sa tinuig nga panaad sa balaang bata.

PIT SENYOR | Misalmot ang Parish Youth Coordinating Council sa Sto. Niño Parish- Mohon, City of Talisay, Cebu sa kalihokan sa Commission on Youth nga mao ang "Lakaw Panaw uban ni Pedro ug Niño" didto sa Archdiocesan Shrine of San Pedro Calungsod ug gisunod ang foot procession paingon sa Basilica Minore del Santo Niño. 

PASTORAL PLANNING | Gitapos ang ikaduhang adlaw sa Pakolor: Pastoral Year Planning pinaagi sa usa ka Powertalk ug group sharing nga gipangunahan ni ate Ana Rose Cabusas kinsa kanhing Presidente sa Parish Youth Coordinating Council.

Dili lamang presentasyon sa mga umaabot nga kalihokan ang gipadangat sa mga opisyales nga nitambong, kundi apil usab ang  interpretasyon nila sa kung unsa ang youth ministry sa ilang pagsabot. Lakip na niini ang mga butang nga ilang matanyag ug gustong makuha gumikan sa maong konseho.

ROSARY MONTH CULMINATION | Following the Mobile procession that was successfully held yesterday, the Parish Youth Coordinating Council officially closes the month of Rosary today through a live rosary and a youth catechism about Mary and the Devotion of the Holy Rosary. 

YOUTH CAMP | To commence the month-long celebration of Augustinian Month and the 22nd Anniversary of the Parish Youth Coordinating Council in Santo Niño Parish - Mohon, a youth camp was organized and attended by a few members of the council whose participation and support are indeed laudable.  

ECOLOGICAL CAMPAIGN | After the novena mass on August 19, 2022, The Parish Youth Coordinating Council (PYCC), along with the Chapel Youth Members and the Knights of the Altar (KOA), held an ecological campaign. They had their ecological clean up and vegetable planting at the Sto. Nino Parish Mohon Ecological Garden. The campaign's initiative is to protect, preserve, and restore biodiversity. This endeavor is also a way to unplug the youth from the bustling city life and reconnect with nature. 

MARIAN MUSIC FEST | Timely on the Assumption of Mary in heaven, A Marian Music Fest is held inside the church building. It is a singing competition where contestants are to showcase their talents in singing through song covers and these contestants are coming from the different chapels of Santo Niño Parish in Mohon, City of Talisay, Cebu. 

COASTAL CLEAN UP DRIVE | Along with the Chapel Youth representatives, the Parish Youth Coordinating Council successfully held the Coastal Clean-up Drive from 5 to 7 AM at Biasong Shoreline. Despite the early call time, almost 100 young servant individuals gave their support by attending and participating. Their presence allows them to witness the mesmerizing beauty of nature as the sun rises and the waves splash into their feet. 

FUND RAISING | The Parish Youth is busy making rags prior to the month-long celebration of the Augustinian month. The earnings of the pre-ordered rags will fund the series of activities set for the month of August in commemoration of the annually celebrated Augustinian Month and Augustinian Vocation Month after a two-year hiatus.

TAIZE PRAYER | On the feast day of Mary as Queen of Heaven and earth, candles were lighted and prayers were offered for the perseverance of our brothers and sisters as they answer God's call of vocation during the recently concluded Taize for Mary. 

MABANTA CUP | The unbeatable Sto. Niño Crusaders secured a ticket for the finals of Augustinian Basketball League: Mabanta Cup after beating Cooler Masters with the score of 42-37.  Mabanta Cup  is in honor of the late Rev. Fr. John Paul Mabanta, OSA and has 8 playing teams including the Sto. Niño Crusaders. The Sto. Niño Crusader team is composed of the members of the Knights of the Altar and the Parish Youth Coordinating Council.
