Dr. Sandy M. G. Lama is a chemist from Bethlehem Palestine, graduated with honors in B.Sc in industrial chemistry (2011) from Bethlehem University, funded by the Holy-bible scholarship. She continued in Germany’s top universities: technical university of Munich (TUM), Ludwig-Maximilian university and Augsburg university, for a joint elite M.Sc advanced materials science (2012) funded by DAAD scholarship. She accomplished her Master’s research in solar energy institute in Freiburg (2015) under the supervision of Prof. Lercher and Prof. Nilges from TUM. She remained there as a research assistant until she was invited to pursue her doctorate in Max-planck-institute for Colloids and Interfaces under Prof.Dr.h.c. Antonietti in Golm-Potsdam, Germany (2015). Her doctoral research was synthesis, optimization and application of carbon-catalysts for industrial reactions and renewable abundant resources degradation (lignin) for energy and chemicals production. she received the Dr. rer. nat title (2018) and was employed as Postdoc in CAT catalytic center in RWTH-Aachen University till today.
