Regular Season Stats '25-'26

This spreadsheet keeps track of every penalty assessed in the games, pulled directly from the official PWHL game report published after the game. I also categorized the penalties according to the rulebook, which you can see in the Penalty Types sheet. 

1. Rivalry Heat Map keeps track of penalties by team matchup- rows are which team took the penalties, columns are who they were playing against. 

2. Penalty Types by Team shows each team's respective breakdown of penalties taken according to the category of penalty, as well as the severity of the penalty.

3. Highest Penalized Players shows the players sorted by number of penalties as well as number of PIMs, and graphs the top ten of each.

4. Most Common Pens by Team shows the most common penalties for each team, and graphs the top five.

5. Proportions graphs the proportions of total penalties taken by each team in the league.
