Juby Apps ("we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our users ("user," "you," or "your"), particularly young children. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in our mobile application, PuzzlePatch.
We are committed to compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and ensuring a safe, secure environment for early learners.
PuzzlePatch is designed to collect the minimum data necessary to operate. We do not require users to create an account or provide any personally identifiable information such as a name, age, email address, or phone number.
Anonymous Session Identifier: On first use, the app generates a random identifier (a UUID) and stores it on your device. This identifier has no connection to your name, Apple ID, or any personal information. We use it solely to track your puzzle usage count (e.g., how many puzzles have been generated this month) so that subscription limits can be enforced. This identifier is stored on our servers in association with your puzzle count only.
Puzzle Usage Counter: We store a simple number — how many puzzles you have generated — on our servers, keyed to your anonymous identifier. This resets monthly for subscribers and is deleted when you delete the app.
IP Address: When you use the app, your device's IP address is received by our servers. We use it transiently for abuse prevention and rate limiting. A temporary, anonymized counter tied to your IP address is automatically deleted within 24 hours. We do not log or retain IP addresses beyond this window.
No Location Data: We do not track or collect your precise geographic location.
No Behavioral Data: We do not collect information about how you use the app, what puzzles you generate, how long you spend in the app, or any other behavioral data.
PuzzlePatch uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate custom puzzle images based on a text prompt entered by the parent.
What is sent: The text the parent types into the prompt field is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to generate a puzzle image. This text is the only user-generated content transmitted.
What is not sent: No names, no child information, no usage history, and no account data are attached to this request. Google receives only the prompt text and our server's API credentials.
Transient processing: Once the image is returned, neither we nor Google retain the prompt or the image on any permanent server. Google's API data handling is governed by their Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
Safety filters: We apply server-side content filters before forwarding any prompt to Google to block inappropriate, copyrighted, or harmful content requests.
We use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each is restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
Apple App Store / Google Play: Used to distribute the app. These platforms may collect aggregate, anonymous usage data (e.g., crash reports, download counts) per their own privacy policies.
Google Gemini API (Google LLC): Receives the parent-entered puzzle prompt to generate puzzle images. Governed by Google Cloud's Data Processing Addendum. No user identity is attached to these requests.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): Used to manage subscription entitlement and validate purchases. Data shared: your anonymous App User ID and, depending on platform, your Apple App Store or Google Play purchase receipt. RevenueCat does not receive your name or contact information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Upstash (Upstash, Inc.): Provides the Redis database we use to store your anonymous puzzle usage counter and subscription tier cache. Data stored: anonymous user ID, puzzle count integer, subscription status. No personal information is stored. See Upstash's Privacy Policy.
Vercel (Vercel, Inc.): Hosts our backend API servers. All network requests from the app pass through Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel may log standard server access data (IP address, timestamp, request path) per their data processing agreement. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Puzzle usage counter: Monthly counters reset each calendar month; lifetime counters persist until app deletion
Subscription tier cache: Refreshed every 5 minutes; cleared on cancellation
IP rate limit counter: Automatically deleted within 24 hours
Anonymous session ID: Until you delete or reinstall the app
Puzzle prompt text: Processed in transit; not retained
Generated puzzle image: On your device until you delete it
We do not maintain a permanent database of your generated puzzles or prompts.
PuzzlePatch is an ad-free experience. We do not show third-party advertisements or use ad-tracking software.
PuzzlePatch is intended for use by parents and guardians with young children. It is not directed to children acting independently online.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Puzzle generation requires a parent or guardian to enter a prompt — the app is designed for supervised use.
Purchases require a parent or guardian to pass an age verification step before proceeding.
If you believe your child has provided personal information without your knowledge, please contact us at info@jubyapps.com and we will delete that information promptly.
Parents and guardians have the right to:
Review any minimal technical information we may have (e.g., support emails you voluntarily sent us).
Request deletion of such information.
Contact us with questions about our privacy practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

Welcome to PuzzlePatch. Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the PuzzlePatch mobile application ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
PuzzlePatch uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate custom puzzle images for children based on user inputs.
You acknowledge that the content in this App is generated by Artificial Intelligence. By using the Service, you understand and accept the following:
Visual Consistency: AI image generation varies. Characters, settings, and artistic styles may not remain perfectly consistent from one puzzle to the next.
Accuracy: Images are fictional and generated automatically. The App makes no claims regarding the image accuracy of the generated puzzle.
Safety: While we implement strict safety filters to prevent inappropriate content, AI behavior can occasionally be unpredictable. You agree to supervise children while they use the App.
PuzzlePatch offers two subscription tiers in addition to a free tier:
Free: Up to 3 puzzle generations, lifetime.
Basic: Up to 15 puzzle generations per calendar month.
Pro: Up to 30 puzzle generations per calendar month.
Monthly puzzle counts reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused puzzles do not roll over.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions).
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at your next renewal.
No Refunds: All purchases are final unless required by applicable law. Apple's standard refund policy applies to purchases made through the App Store.
Personal Use Only: The image files generated by PuzzlePatch are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may print them, show them to your children, or share them with family and friends.
No Resale: You are strictly prohibited from selling, licensing, or distributing the generated images or assets for profit. You may not list PuzzlePatch images on marketplaces or claim copyright ownership over the AI-generated assets provided by our proprietary workflow.
App Ownership: All software, code, and proprietary prompts used to generate the images remain the intellectual property of Juby Apps.
You agree not to use the App to:
Generate content that is violent, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to children.
Attempt to reverse-engineer the API or access our backend services via unauthorized means.
Input copyrighted names (e.g., Mickey Mouse, Spider-Man) or real celebrities into the image generator.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PuzzlePatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
7. Apple App Store — Additional Terms
The following terms apply specifically to your use of PuzzlePatch downloaded from the Apple App Store:
This End User License Agreement is between you and Juby Apps only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for PuzzlePatch or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or updates for PuzzlePatch.
In the event PuzzlePatch fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to PuzzlePatch.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to PuzzlePatch or your use of it, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) claims that PuzzlePatch fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that PuzzlePatch or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms of service when using PuzzlePatch.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Denver, Colorado.
9. Who May Use the App
This app is intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. By using PuzzlePatch, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of themselves and any child in their care who uses the app. Children may not independently agree to these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
