# Privacy Policy — Pusula - Kıble Bulucu

This policy explains what information Pusula - Kıble Bulucu ("the app", "we")
uses, why, and the choices you have. The app has no user accounts, and we do
not run our own servers. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.
## 1. Information the app uses
### Location
The app asks for your location (precise or approximate, your choice) so it can:
- calculate true north (magnetic declination),
- calculate the Qibla direction and your distance to the Kaaba,
- calculate the daily Kıble saati (the time the Sun is in the Qibla direction),
- show your latitude, longitude, altitude and city.
All of these calculations run **on your device**. Your location is never sent
to us.
- **Last known location.** The app saves your last location (coordinates,
altitude and city name) on your device, so the Qibla still works offline the
next time you open the app.
- **City name.** To show your city, the app uses Android's built-in geocoding
service. On most devices this service is provided by Google, and it may send
your coordinates to Google to look up the place name. This is covered by
[Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- **Without location.** You can refuse location permission and choose a city
by hand in Settings. The app then uses that city's coordinates.
### Device sensors
The app reads the magnetometer, accelerometer and rotation sensors to show the
compass heading and sensor accuracy. These readings are processed in real time
on your device. They are not stored or shared.
### Settings stored on your device
The app saves your preferences on your device: north mode, vibration and
sound, theme, language, chosen city, notification settings, unlocked dial
themes and whether you have finished onboarding. If Android backup is turned on
for your device, Android may include this data (and the last known location)
in your Google account backup. This is controlled by your device settings, not
by us.
### Notifications
If you turn on the Kıble saati reminder, the app schedules a daily local
notification on your device. Nothing about it leaves your device. You can turn
it off in the app's Settings or in Android's notification settings.
## 2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads from **Google AdMob**: banner ads, occasional
full-screen ads, and rewarded ads that you choose to watch to unlock dial
themes. AdMob, and the ad partners it works with, may collect and use:
- your device's advertising ID,
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it,
- device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version),
- how you interact with ads (views, clicks),
- diagnostic data (for example crash data from the ads SDK).
They use this information to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud
and, where you allow it, show personalised ads. **The app does not give your
GPS location to AdMob.**
- **Consent.** In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland
and other regions where it is required, the app shows a consent form from
Google's User Messaging Platform before ads load. You can change your choice
at any time from **Settings → Ad privacy options**.
- **Advertising ID.** You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out
of personalised ads, in Android's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or
Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the device).

## 3. Other Google services
- **Google Play services (location):** provides the location fix on your
device, under [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- **Google Play In-App Review:** if you tap "Rate the app", Google Play shows
its own review dialog. Your review goes to Google Play, not to us.
## 4. What we do not do
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use our own analytics or tracking.
- We do not send your location to our own servers. We have none.
## 5. Data retention and deletion
Everything the app stores lives on your device. To delete it, clear the app's
storage (Android Settings → Apps → Pusula - Kıble Bulucu → Storage → Clear
storage) or uninstall the app. Google keeps data collected through AdMob
according to its own policies. You can manage that data through your Google
account and the ad settings described above.
## 6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children. Ads in the app are served by AdMob under
Google's policies.
## 7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR or Turkey's
Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) give you rights over your
personal data, such as access, correction and deletion. Because we do not hold
any of your personal data, most requests are best handled by clearing the
app's data on your device or by contacting Google about ad data. You are still
welcome to contact us with any question.
## 8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted
at this page with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will
also note them in the app's release notes.
