The Federal Trade Commission seen theft has majorly went up since the pandemic has started, reports have grown compared to 2019. The target was the government relief funds for individuals and small businesses hit the hardest by the pandemic.
Phishing scams
Last year in April google had a threat analysis group report covid-19 themed malware and phishing emails on a daily. In addition to invoice fraud, and other email attack variants from victims. One method of prevention is to never click on anything on email.
Hacking
Researchers have fount that men are more likely to have their account hacked due to the fact they don't create more unique passwords than females would. One way to prevent this type of acoount hacking is to follow password guidelines with upper case letters, special characters, lower case letters, and at least 8 characters long. What will also help is changing a password every so often to ensure your account safety.
